Spicy Miso Soup Dumplings
Salty, savoury and heartwarming. This 10 minute soup dumpling recipe will have you hooked!
Tonight I am too tired to cook, so I’m making these 10-minute spicy miso soup dumplings which are honestly so addictive! I love to make a big batch for me and my boyfriend when we want a cosy night in, and if we’re still hungry, we’ll cook some extra udon on the side.
Ingredients
Sauce
1.5 tbsp tahini or peanut butter
1 tbsp miso
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tbsp soy sauce (I used coconut aminos, which is a healthier version of soy sauce)
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 clove grated garlic
Small knob of grated ginger
1 tbsp Lao Gan Ma chilli crisp
3/4 cup water
Frozen dumplings
Chopped coriander
Sesame seeds ( I prefer black but I only had white ones this time)
Recipe
1. In a clay pot or non-stick saucepan, combine the tahini, miso, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, chilli crisp and 3/4 cup water. Whisk together (4 min)
2. Next, place the dumplings into the pot and cover. Bring the sauce to a boil and then turn the heat down to a low simmer for about 5 minutes (5 min)
3. Once the dumpling skins have softened, remove from heat and remove the lid
4. Top with more chilli crisp, sesame seeds, chopped coriander (1 min)
